Aquamarine A (Highgrade) 16-25mm

The name of this beautiful stone is derived from the Latin words 'aqua'‚ meaning water and 'marinus' meaning of the sea and its beautiful pale blue-green seawater colouring definitely brings to mind the relaxation of floating on calm seas. It was believed to be mermaids' treasure and was often carried by sailors for protection and good fortune. It is still known as a protection stone for those travelling overseas or who live and work near and on the water.

The energies of this crystal are very soothing, good for reducing stress and quieting the mind; known as a stone of courage and protection, it is very balancing and therefore a good choice for bringing the chakras into alignment.

Being blue it is a great stone for the throat chakra and therefore helps with communication, particularly when working on blocks with spiritual communication, connecting us to higher levels of consciousness and our higher self and helping to open the channels of clear and heartfelt communication.
